The new Portage Regional Health Centre replaces a 1956 hospital with a 275,000 sq ft, 114-bed regional facility — one of the largest health capital projects in Manitoba history. BPL Sales supplied the hydronic heart of the building — more than a hundred pieces of equipment, from the mechanical penthouse down to the radiant floors. Pumping runs on twenty-five vertical inline pumps with integral variable frequency drives, alongside sixty-two ECM circulators serving in-floor heating that covers roughly 46,000 sq ft across 63 zones. Domestic water is fed by a quadplex booster package rated at over 500 GPM. Terminal equipment runs to seventy-four fan coils and twelve blower coils, plus radiant panels, hydronic unit heaters and force flow heaters — every one of them selected against the same plant, which is the part of a package this size that never shows up on a drawing.

Equipment supplied by BPL Sales:
- Quadplex domestic water booster package
- 25 × Vertical inline pumps with integral VFDs
- 62 × ECM circulators
- Expansion tanks, air/dirt separators, plate and frame heat exchangers, chilled water buffer tanks
- 74 × Fan coils, ECM motors, stainless drain pans
- 12 × Blower coil units
- Radiant panels, hydronic unit heaters and ceiling-mounted force flow heaters; gas unit heaters
- In-floor radiant package, designed in house — approximately 46,000 sq ft, 63 zones, stainless manifolds

Closing note:
Start-up was carried out by BPL's own factory-trained and factory-certified technicians, with formal start-up reports issued for the record. That distinction matters more than it sounds: a warranty is only as strong as the commissioning behind it, and on a hospital this size commissioning runs for months rather than days. Owner training came from the same team, so the people who now run the plant learned it from the people who started it
